Using rsync to synchronize GO Files with local PC

hi,
I wonder if it's possible to synchronize the GO files with a local pc, could these cause problems with uploaded files from the local pc, wich aren't uploaded through the GO interface?

No that's not a problem but you must run modules/files/scripts/sync_filesystem.php to import them into the database (Or press refresh in GO at the right folder).

Can this be done through command line, aka like in combination with a rsync script that is syncing files from another GO server ?

Yes, in GO4:

sudo -u www-data ./groupofficecli.php -r=files/folder/syncFilesystem

You will get an action denied in current version. Next version won't authenticate on the CLI.
