Imap-email create folder problem

Postby lukeb » Sat Dec 25, 2010 4:20 pm

Have discovered a curious issue with the latest version of GO (3.6.11).
I have set my mbox path to Mail/, and it works fine with already existing
folders. But when I create a new folder (in the email module) the folder
is created outside the Mail/ directory, i.e. above it (newfolder/Mail/).
If I try to create a folder Mail/newfolder I get an error (illegal character).

How do I tell GO to create the folder under the Mail/ hierarchy?

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I think there might be a problem with my imaps setup since
the folder problem seems to be related to how the data is parsed from imaps.
The reason for saying this is that I get strange behaviour with other mail clients
as well, all related to folders and folder layout. I recently upgraded from
OpenBSD 4.6 to OpenBSD 4.8 so it could be a compability issue, and as such has
nothing to do with GO.

Sorry for wasting your time.

Ok, sorry for opening this one again, but! there is an issue here with GO.
I have set Root Mailbox to Mail/ but when I use the select folders option
that setting is removed from the table in the DB (mysql) so that all files
on my server account are listed ($HOME and not $HOME/Mail). This is
really annoying, and I have to enter the DB and remove all cached folders
and then set the Root Mailbox manually, then log in to GO - AFTER
altering the DB. If I try to add a new mailbox I have to repeat the whole
procedure again.

As long as the Root Mailbox stays "put" everything works just fine, so I
want to lock that field in my DB (not the entire table) but cannot find
an effective way to do that. Suggestions are welcome! - OR - could
you add a Root_Mailbox directive in config.ini that users CAN override
if they wish? I really need this setting to stick..

BTW, I use both https and imaps - anything less is plain silly IMNSHO.

Can you setup a test IMAP account for me?
