It's not necessary but recommended. If you have a support contract we will help you with installation, technical problems and any other technical advice.
So you can buy a single package for 199 euro.
And optionally you can buy a support contract that also entitles you to all future upgrades. If you don't buy this then a single upgrade package costs 129 euro.
