Calendar: Resource Groups and Resources

Postby brainbows » Wed Jan 21, 2009 10:59 am

We upgraded to GO3 and wondered whether the resource management will be included again.

(Our secretary used this feature extensively!)

I'd like to see how resources works but 2.18 is nowhere to be found.

Is there a timeframe for the reintegration of resources into GO3? It's the one thing that holds me back from upgrading the main site I use GO on.
Are you currently working on this feature or is it way down on the to do list?

Some information on this would help me organizing the work here.

Thanks

Chris

I finally downloaded and installed 2.18 but I can't find resources. Where can I find it in group office 2.18?

We would also really like this feature back, badly. It is sad that it was removed from GO3, but maybe it was more difficult to bring up to spec with the rest of the site?

By soon you mean in the 3.2.x-release series? We still need this feature badly and recently tried a workaround: To create a new user and invite this user (called "Conference-room") to meeting that is supposed to take place in the conference room.

The problem with this approach is that people (having of course their own account) have to log in with this conference-room account to accept the appointment. As far as I figured out, it is not possible to accept an invitation for someone else even though you have write permission to his calendar (which would be a cool thing and only require an email-forward).

So, when is soon? ;)

One of our programmers is starting with that next week. I think it will take a month or so.

Hello, are there any news about resources? 3.x is great and I really would like to migrate but resources are one of main advantages we need. Thank you.

We are currently testing this feature. You can try the dev version from the downloads page to test it.
