Problems inviting other users for an event in the calendar

Postby akern » Thu Mar 22, 2012 11:42 am

Hello everyone,

first of all i'm sorry if my english is not fully clear because i'm french, posting on this forum is a bit difficult for me and i hope you'll understand my problem without too much difficulties.
I installed GroupOffice on a Debian machine, and well, it work's but there's a problem that i can't solve all by myself since i can't see where this problem comes from.
When i try to share an event with another user of groupoffice, by adding a participant, when i click on Apply, i get this error message :

Warning: fsockopen(): unable to connect to ssl://localhost:25 (Connection refused) in /var/monsite/groupoffice/classes/mail/swift/lib/classes/Swift/Transport/StreamBuffer.php on line 233
{"success":false,"files_folder_id":"23","event_id":"1","id":["3","1"],"feedback":"Connection could not be established with host localhost [Connection refused #111]\nLog data:\n++ Starting Swift_SmtpTransport\n!! Connection could not be established with host localhost [Connection refused #111]"}

Ext.decode exception occurred

I configured all the settings of the email accounts properly and correctly, but i do not know what i can do know to make it work. Could you help me please?

Thanks!

Assumming in Admin CP, EMail settings you have ticket the box for enable SMTP email, then it should use the SMTP server you configure. However, what kayako does is first tries to use the SMTP that you configure, if that fails ( or it thinks it failed ) it then tries to use sendmail within php to send out directly.

If you check your error logs in the admin CP, they should show you if the SMTP server you configured is failing to work

Yes, watertest is right. It is a little bit confusing but I get your point. I think you have to enable first the SMTP email, I got some problem like this but I fix it directly. I think there is something you add or something to get.

Yes your localhost is not running an SMTP service. Correct the smtp settings in config.php to solve this problem.
