Seriously, is this where Intermesh makes their money?
I must ask this, because Intermesh does not clearly document how this problem can be solved. It's clear that so many people using the Community version of GO get stuck at this point for days, even end up dumping GO and no help ever comes from Intermesh. Even their troubleshooting guide on this is a mess in itself - explains nothing!

I think that if Intermesh is not interested in helping with this aspect, then there is not point in having the Community Edition. They can stick to the Commercial one.

I don't know what we have done to you to deserve this kind of attitude. I'd like to keep things nice on this forum. This has nothing todo with money. But with a misconfiguration on your server. It can be tricky to install applications on different platforms.

That said, one of the purposes of this forum is to help people out so let's get started on that!
The wiki does not give any solutions because there's no typical solution. We ask a couple of questions that can lead you in the right direction. For example the error log is the place to start. Did you look at it? Were there any errors that could be relevant?

Please post them here and please respect this community forum.

Well, I just got pissed off that after two days and endless searches, there is not indication of a way to resolve this. I have posted about the same before, and even pasted the output from the page on pastebin. I guess members of the forum don't have enough time to help others. I have a lot of respect for any community forum, but with frustrations sometimes a person is bound to vent. Not that the community owes anyone. I know that no one does, but people still expect the community to help. The effort and time we invest in testing I believe isn't in vain.

So, I have the following:
OS: FreeBSD gw.kictanet.or.ke 8.3-STABLE i386
GO: groupoffice-com-devel as of 201205113 (I also tried the 4.0.13 but they behaved the same)
Apache: 2.2.22
PHP: 5.3.13
php5-etensions : All modules are at 5.3.13 (including pdo_mysql)
MySQL: 5.1.63

I have edited php.ini (located in /usr/loca/etc/) for FreeBSD and changed the following values:
display_errors = Off
log_errors = On
error_log = /var/log/php_errors.log

On my VirtualHost, I have the directive:
ErrorLog /var/log/webmail-error_log

root@gw:/ # php -v

Well, there is no error at all in either /var/log/php_errors.log or /var/log/webmail-error_log

When I do Ctrl+U on Mozilla Firefox, I get so much content, which doesn't seem helpful for me. You can see that here -> http://goo.gl/nhTlv

I still cannot find the magic entry anywhere to help me finger the problem. And that is where the frustration begins - no errors.

Just FYI, I hosed my system and did a fresh install of everything from zero - just to see if some legacy stuff were the issue, but I still got stuck at the same point. Site Administrator can login, but no one can login the moment I enable IMAP Authentication - which basically means no single user can login. My IMAP4 server is fine though, I am sure it's not the issue.

I don't understand what you mean by "install test page" though so I don't know what screenshot that would be. I have made my site publicly accessible:

Try enabling $config['debug']=true; and watch the debug.log file in the file area when you try to login. That should give you info about imap auth.

I have done that, but that is not where the problem is lying.
