Bookmarks

Talk about anything that doesn't fit in the other catagories :) (and of course is about Group-Office)

Should bookmarks be in a separate page or in a top menu?

Should bookmarks be implemented like it was in the old version with a separate page with different blocks with links or like browsers do it, with a menu on top with links in different folders?

Hi Merijn,

Can you give us an idea of when the bookmarks feature will be added to GO 3x?

Thank you

What is the purpose of the bookmark page? you can search a client and go direct to there website etc.
I never looked a GO v2 a lot (I saw it. But only when GO 3 came out i was really enthusiastic and bought the system off-course!)

So if someone could explain the extra value of this feature then i can fill in the poll else it needs a addition namely no implementation needed :)

I think bookmarks will only make sense to you if you use more than one computer or more than one browser on a computer. In my case I have 1 work computer (I do not work at home) and several home computers. I also switch regularly between IE and Firefox. In addition, I can share the bookmark with other GO users, such as my family. So rather than creating bookmarks (or favorites) for each browser on each computer (ugh!) you can create a centralized set of bookmarks and can access them from anywhere/any computer. I have about 100 GO bookmarks now (and growing) that are nicely categorized and selectively shared as needed.

Oh, and no additional implementation needed, other than enabling the module for the user (at least this is how it is in 2.x).

There's not really a useful conclusion from this poll. I guess I should implement both :)

Sorry, development still hasn't started on this because there were to many things with higher priority.

A lot of people are just using a note for bookmarks.

192.x.x.x works fine
10..x.x.x does not work! with or without port.
