Re: [SOLVED] Background picture in summary screen

Merijn,

Perfect! This is exactly what I needed.

Thanks a lot! I added [SOLVED]to the topic subject and removed the screenshots to save some space.

Re: Importing users via CSV file

I have used this feature intensely over the last months. I have not encountered any issues, but was careful to provide a "pure text" file. If you open a CSV file with MS Excel, you always have the risk that Excel will "intelligently" add all kinds of crap to your file. I recommend notepad++ for this...

[SOLVED] Background picture in summary screen

How could I add a picture (logo) as a background of the summary screen? I made my own theme and added this line to style.css: .x-panel-body{ background:#ffffff url(images/m_groot.png) no-repeat bottom right; } This was approaching best what I wanted: the logo at bottom right of the screen. As expect...

Re: Content indexing of uploaded files

I haven't made any progress since my previous post. I have stopped development for the time being. Of course, I am glad to share my prototype code with anyone who would like to work on it.

Re: Content indexing of uploaded files

Tried to install the prototype in a hosted account and noticed that tools catdoc and xls2csv don't work any more at all. Both are not finding the charsets any more that they need to operate. The only solutions I found on the internet, was hardcoding some paths in the source code and recompile them. ...

Re: Automatically log in into Phorum from GO

For this to work, I need to get GO classes instantiated in a function. So far, I haven't managed to do this. Like I said in my post of Jan 2nd, require-ing Group-Office.php from a php script is working fine. As soon as I try to do exactly the same from within a function, I only get errors like repor...

Re: Automatically log in into Phorum from GO

The Phorum people have accepted my plugin. Your can read all about it at http://www.phorum.org/phorum5/read.php?62,134494. You can download the plugin from that forum page. The concept is, in fact, fairly simple. In Phorum, you can use a certain hook "user_session_restore" which is called each time ...

Re: Content indexing of uploaded files

I have sent the first useable version of the filesearch module to Merijn. I leave it up to him to decide how/if/when the module is released for testing by others. Main features of the module is that the text content of the most popular binary formats (doc, docx, xls, xlsx, ppt, pptx, ods, sxc, odt, ...

Re: Content indexing of uploaded files

Over the weekend, I have reorganized the code as per your suggestion. I also did some cleanup of odd comments and variable naming. The Windows version is running fine, but I get errors on Linux. I assume it has to do with uppercase/lowercase stuff or with access rights. I plan to send you the code a...

Re: Automatically log in into Phorum from GO

I got the thing working. I am now testing the interface and as soon as it proves to be working reliably, I will document the interface.

Automatically log in into Phorum from GO

Phorum has --IMHO-- a nice way of accepting sessions that are authenticated in another application. My aim is to allow users to go to Phorum once they are logged in in GO. The only thing I need to do, is write some code that fetches user_id of user that is currently logged in. I thought I could make...

Re: Content indexing of uploaded files

The current version is completely integrated in the files module. A file is indexed upon upload and update, the index is deleted when the file is deleted. I have also made a simple (non-ajax) search page which I call from a hyperlink in an announcement. Which time stamps should be stored: file stamp...

What's new in Stable-4

On Freshmeat, one can read today that GO 3.0 stable 4 was released. The announcement states that "Some handy new features were added in several modules. New languages are supported and bugs were fixed. Upgrading is recommended.". I would expect to find more details on this forum. Probably I didn't s...

Pass on GO session information to other apps

A forum inside GO doesn't seem to be on the roadmap, I would like to propose my customer to use an external forum app for their die hard forum lovers. It would be nice, however, if users would be logged in automatically in the forum as soon as they log in to GO. It looks like Phorum has some hooks f...

Content indexing of uploaded files

I'd like to contribute to the development of a simple "deep search" in uploaded files. The concept is fairly simple: - convert the content of binary files using catdoc, pdftotext, xls2csv and others - load this ascii text in a database table, storing ACLs etc along with them -- similar to the cache_...
