Re: Updating bigger installations

I've looked into this and I found, that MariaDB fine tuned would be faster then PostgreSQL which ist at least not supported by Intermesh and would be a pain in the ass to migrate to

Re: Updating bigger installations

Hi, with databases such big and (presumable) lots of transactions, one should consider, whether to change DB to PostgreSQL. I presume that you have MySQL server, PHP 5.x and Apache2 installed and MySQL is configured to max. performance? You get a great performance boost when changing to PHP7 and Ngi...

Re: First alpha release

Hi jullien,

thanks for your info. I run into lots of errors but this might be because of my system (Debian 8, PHP 5, ...). So I'm gonna give this machine an update before trying again and will report here.

Re: First alpha release

Anything new? Nothing changed in installer and this -> https://github.com/Intermesh/groupoffice-server/blob/master/README.md doesn't work either. E. g. vendor dir is missing. GO7 cannot be installed, either through installer, nor via the doc here -> http://groupoffice.io/. Can anyone at least give u...

Re: Online editing of Microsoft files

There is no way to integrate it into GO - and that's the main task. There is a Google Drive module but this doesn't work anymore.

Re: Updating bigger installations

Hi, AFAIK you need to setup a cluster if your users go beyound a couple of thousands. We had no problem with databases around 500 MB (which is what you get with prox. 200 users about 6 years running the service) and files / emails around 500 GB on a single server (LAMP - Debian). Nowerdays we prefer...

Re: First alpha release

Obviously there is no .../vendor/autoload.php in the source. The whole dir vendor is missing. Either we need it to install or - if it's not relevant - it must be removed from installation routine.

Re: First alpha release

This doesn't work. There is no such thing than groupoffice-webclient in the tar ball. The installation routine goes round and round and the admin nor any other user isn't created.

Re: Two-factor Authentication with bulk SMS

I highly recommend 2-factor-auth for the GO webfrontend like here -> https://github.com/alexandregz/twofactor_gauthenticator/tree/master
This would automatically include SMS as long as the provider will have a http(s) api (which most have).

Running GO prof 6.x with Nginx Webserver

Hello folks,

here is my solution for running (and syncing) GO prof 6.x with Nginx webserver. Please note that trailing slashes are essential
I added some security stuff and tested it with GO 6.1.136 and 6.2.38.

Have fun!
