Re: Documentation and API stabilization

I've had success with apigen. It can be accessed directly from Netbeans (my IDE of choice for GO).

Re: Instant Messaging

<3 lua.

Though I recommend taking a look at https://github.com/processone/ejabberd, this is written in erlang, and so should be easy to horizontally scale, if you have an enormous user base.

Fake non existing folders

Hi I know you can't create all folders for files when the objects (e.g. project) are created because you get too many folders and the system gets slow. But this can be a problem if you want to navigate to the folder in the files module (you must upload something from the object itself first), so I t...

Re: ACL System

As far as I can tell this has changed quite a bit, and it took some digging to find all the relevant bits of code. Here's the syntax you need now: #### Per-module permissions To check a user's permission for a module, do something like GO::user()->getModulePermissionLevel('module_name');   #### Per-...

I'm looking forward to namespaces, but converting old code is going to be a pain! :)

Re: getPermissionLevel function

This is probably a problem with my understanding of PHP, but doesn't it try to resolve to `$this->category.acl_id`, or does it automatically convert '.' to '->'?

Re: Help With PHP Code to log on to external email

The SMTP details in the config are for sending system messages - it's designed to use with some admin/postmaster/etc account. I thought that when you send a request from the calendar, it went from your own email account rather than from the system one, but I may be wrong.

Do you get any helpful messages if you remove the error suppressing ("@") from the 5th line?

Re: Restore Database and Application

Try opening developer tools (chrome, firefox, ie, probably all others), and reloading the page. Then you should get a javascript error on the console, which you can cut and paste here

Re: Problem after install of libbxml2 and ionCube

Sometimes you don't want to use the latest version of ioncube, so it's worth trying the second newest version. Also, when you do `php -v`, does it show "with the ioncube loader" on the command line?

Re: Since v5.0.x: DOMDocument::load(): I/O warning

When I have problems like this I tend to either hunt round the source trying to understand what is happening, or use xdebug (with netbeans in my case) and inspect what is happening as the error is thrown. In this case it looks like groupoffice is using a library to open the xml files, so maybe you s...

TabbedFormDialog beforLoad isNew()

Calling isNew() in the beforeLoad function of TabbedFormDialog fails because remoteModelId is set after the call to beforeLoad. Is this desired behaviour?
