Cronjob synthax

Talk about anything that doesn't fit in the other catagories :) (and of course is about Group-Office)

Cronjob synthax

Postby romedchim » Mon Feb 15, 2016 12:40 pm

Hello,

Is there a particular syntax for the cronjob on a cpanel server?

The one suggested by you does not seem to work.

www-data php /home/****/public_html/goffice/groupofficecli.php -c=/home/****/public_html/goffice/config.php -r=core/cron/run -q > /dev/null

Thank you.

Cron works the same on any linux system. But perhaps your paths or apache user is incorrect? You could try to ask your hosting provider.

This works for me on a VPS with cpanel:

/usr/local/bin/php /home/USER/public_html/GROUPOFFICE/groupofficecli.php -c=/home/USER/public_html/GROUPOFFICE/config.php -r=core/cron/run -q >/dev/null 2>&1

The "USER" is your user account and "GROUPOFFICE" is your group office install, some servers need the correct path it took a while to figure it out the proper path, mine was /usr/local/bin/php
