JsonStore load exception

Talk about anything that doesn't fit in the other catagories :) (and of course is about Group-Office)

JsonStore load exception

Postby varun » Thu Mar 04, 2010 10:46 pm

Hi,

I am trying to create new files (Either Word or OpenOffice) in GroupOffice and each time I get an error stating "JsonStore load exception occurred".

Detailed error is as follows:

warning: file_put_contents(/home/groupoffice/users/admin/a.doc) [function.file-put-contents]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /usr/share/groupoffice/modules/files/json.php on line 558
Warning: filectime() [function.filectime]: stat failed for /home/groupoffice/users/admin/a.doc in /usr/share/groupoffice/modules/files/classes/files.class.inc.php on line 694
Warning: filemtime() [function.filemtime]: stat failed for /home/groupoffice/users/admin/a.doc in /usr/share/groupoffice/modules/files/classes/files.class.inc.php on line 695
Warning: filesize() [function.filesize]: stat failed for /home/groupoffice/users/admin/a.doc in /usr/share/groupoffice/modules/files/classes/files.class.inc.php on line 697

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks & Regards,
Varun.

Hello,

It seems to be a privileges problem with the directory /home/groupoffice

If you have an SSH access to the server, you can try :

Code: Select all

chown -R apache-user:apache-group /home/groupoffice
chmod -R 750 /home/groupoffice
Replace apache-user and apache-group with the appropriate user and group for your server (ie. www-data for Debian)

Thanks a lot!!!

I was not giving the right permissions to the user (www-root).
Doing so solved the issue.

Check the apache error log for the error.

Being new to GO, I'm a bit unfamiliar with this technical jargon. I haven't had any errors yet, but in the event that I do where is this log located? This is important to me because whn you are running a desing business keeping a proper archive and managing you file storage is a very big issue for a multitude of reason. If somebody would be willing to respond to this post and help me out I would be very appreciative.

It should be in /var/log/apache2/error.log
