Thunderbird 3.1 sync

Talk about anything that doesn't fit in the other catagories :) (and of course is about Group-Office)

Thunderbird 3.1 sync

Postby JoergHerzinger » Tue Jan 25, 2011 2:58 pm

Has anyone gotten sync in Thunderbird 3.1 with GO to work stable? Although sync works generally the plugin seems to crash after 3 to 5 syncs and leaves Thunderbird in a frozen state. I would really love to use this for all our users, but it needs to be at least a bit more stable than 3 to 5 syncs...

GO: 3.6.17, Thunderbird: 3.1.7, Lightning: 1.0b1, Funambol 1.0b3

I have seen the thunderbird client working at a customer this week but the client is in an unstable state. I'm not sure why it crashes for you.

Ok, so we just have to keep waiting till this gets stable.
I would really like to do some debugging of this but since Mozilla and its plugins are just horrible to work with I decided to just wait.
Thanks anyways...

CalDAV works well though for the calendar and tasks!

Hi, new to forum and GO.

Right now I'm testing GO on trial website and everything looks good. Wanted to test CalDAV but it's not avaible on trial?

Also, did you check SoGo Connector? It enables Adressbook syncing in Thundebird and it would probably be better sollution then Funambol.
Few other open source groupwares are using it.

EDIT: Is there a way to test CalDAV? I'm interested in Pro version for out company, but integration with Thunderbird should be high. Tested sync contacts with Funambol and it works without problems. Need to test personal and shared calendars in thunderbird via CalDAV.
