HTML Display And Email Sorting Problems

Talk about anything that doesn't fit in the other catagories :) (and of course is about Group-Office)

HTML Display And Email Sorting Problems

Postby gofan2 » Sun Aug 07, 2011 2:50 pm

Visible display problems with some HTML emails, e.g. blocks of table cells and images disappearing; css tags not being followed; misaligned table cells; etc. - along with emails not getting sorted by the 'received' or 'sent' date in the original headers when they are moved to other email accounts, have stopped two of my clients to consider GO as a data synch/groupware solution. They very delighted with what they saw as a whole, but these two problems were too important to ignore.

With HTML display, it is easy to see the discrepancies by just looking at the email rendered in GO or by viewing the same email side by side in GO and Roundcube or Squirrelmail.

With email sorting, GO is apparently looking at either the file date of the email (in maildir format) or at the first available date in the headers, whereas it should be looking at the date in the original 'Received:' header or the original 'Date:' header.

What are the chances of both being fixed in the near future?

IN the latest version it looks at the received header.

Can you send an example source of an html mail not displayed correctly?

Which version? I have 3.7.26 but the problem is still there.

There are quite a few examples. Should I post them in this thread or should I send them to an email address?
