Cannot send e-mails, suddenly - RFC 2822, 3.6.2

Talk about anything that doesn't fit in the other catagories :) (and of course is about Group-Office)

Cannot send e-mails, suddenly - RFC 2822, 3.6.2

Postby odhiambo » Thu Feb 02, 2012 11:04 am

Suddenly, I am unable to send e-mails from GO.
I get the following error: Address in mailbox given [john@doe.com] does not comply with RFC 2822, 3.6.2.

Google isn't helping.

What is the solution to this?

Are you sure there's no typo in the mail address. This usually happens when the email address is formatted incorrectly.

There is no typo in the e-mail address.
Actually, the problem just popped up and I am still lost as to what is the cause. This message appears even before GO submits the mail to my SMTP engine.
I have even tried running the latest -BETA version and this problem persists.

Is there a way to debug the whole process within GO?

On another note, it appears that latest GO does not work well with Chrome-beta (18.0.1025.11 beta-m). When you click the Mail option, some blank screen comes up that blocks you from seeing the "compose", "delete", "administration" and "refresh" buttons.. well, that could be Chrome's problem anyway.

I have no idea how this can happen. The message comes from swift but your mail address looks ok and it isn't a common problem.
