Hi Merijn,

Can you give us the clue what is your final discission. As far as I can see (and what is already discussed in our phonecall) you will leave ExtJS and go on with HTML5 (Angular JS?) because of the license structure of ExtJS.
Maybe its good for the discussers overhere to share your knowledge about GO7 and your new GUI and enhancements of your framework.

Kind regards,
Pieter

And furthermore can you give us a roadmap with potential release dates?

I am also looking forward to hearing a release date. We are launching a project in 01/2016 and I'd love to use group office. The missing mobile capabilities make this impossible at the moment :(

I will not vote since I know nothing about HTML 5 or ExtJS.

We are using GO for 3 or 4 years now in company, and I never needed mobile interface for email/calendar/tasks/notes, nor I heard anyone else complaining about it.
Only exception to this rule were admin tasks. In those cases I missed mobile web interface. :)

Hi Merijn,

I would also be very interested in what decision has been (or will be) taken.

Thanks

HTML5

When it will available, how-to, and if possible to choose per user.

It's been quiet since May and there doesn't seem to be any 7.X branch in the repo, would be nice to know which direction this will go in.

We're working on GO7 on a GIT repository in house at the moment. We've chosen to work with PHP 7 as a REST server and we're building a web client based on AngularJS:

If you're interested we have some developer docs here:

That is some really interesting work and i see you have gotten very far on the REST API's already!

How come you choose Angular instead of faster, less bloated and loosely coupled frameworks like Vue.js?

Is it because it's easier to find developers?

Hi,

I tried to follow the rest installation guide (http://intermesh.io/index.php/REST_API/Installation),
but command "git clone git@git.intermesh.nl:groupoffice-server.git " required password.

When we could try out the new platform? there will be compatibility margins with the old version?

Thanks,
Alessandro

Sorry, this page is for us internally now only. We will publish the code later when it's more mature.

This version will be completely incompatible with the current version.

We're aiming for september to have a first version. It won't have all the features of GO 6 yet though.

I have very little knowledge of the finer system setup. However based on the weakness of HTML5, I would prefer ExtJS. If the issue in HTML5 can be solve then I can swing vote.
