Important change in CVS

Postby mschering » Wed Feb 23, 2005 12:26 pm

I made an important change to GO, I moved the configuration options to a new file. Group-Office.php is now static and the config is in local/config.php. All local stuff will go into that dir so it's possible to seperate source from local stuff with symlinks.

Running install.php will automatically create the new config.php but beware that the new static Group-Office.php is in CVS now and will overwrite your local copy when you checkout.
But if you back it up and replace it with your old one and then run install.php it will keep your config.

Good luck!

As for the avatars thanks I'll update mine.
As for the CVS when I try to update it just uses the info stored in the CVS folder of GO which I believe is :ext:mschering@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/group-office
When ever I try to update it asks for a password which I don't have, do I need to change the username to my sourceforge username?

Hi dkittel,

for using tortoise you have to change the text in each root file in the CVS folder of each folder from GO.

thus

:ext:mschering@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/group-office

becomes

:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/group-office
