Group-Office 2.14-FC Released

Postby mschering » Fri Oct 14, 2005 8:08 am

This is the Final release candidate for 2.14 and is pretty stable. I don't expect a lot of problems anymore.
2.14 features a whole new toolkit of standard controls which makes building Group-Office easy and using Group-Office too because of the unified interface.
The calendar views have been improved a lot and administration has been extremely simplified.

The date classes are messed up again. I was using new files from CVS and things were working pretty good. Then I saw this release and let it overwrite everything. It back dates many of the DATE routine files.

When I go to the Configuration Screen or the Administration Menu, Modules.... I get

Code: Select all

Fatal error: Undefined class name 'go_date_timezone' in /hsphere/local/home/.../groupoffice/classes/date/Date.php on line 133

And when you go forward or backwards in the MonthView Calendar screen, all entries are doubled.

I'm deleting everything but the config.php file. Uploading this 2.1.14FC load.

I deleted everything... copied up this new version... completely rebuilt config.php from new.

Still the same timezone errors mentioned before.

I doubt that. I've had that problem since RC1 amoung 1 other I posted. I've tried 3 different OSes and many fresh installs.

Yet, 2.13 works great. I think I'll be sticking with that for a long time. It suits my needs.

is the file:

classes/date/Date/TimeZone.php

present and does it have the go_date_Timezone class in it?

And when you go forward or backwards in the MonthView Calendar screen, all entries are doubled.

What do you mean with that? How can I reproduce this?

It seems as though the old version of a repeating, non-timed (example: Birthdays) events looked like they spaned from one day to the next. Now the system thinks it's a 2 day event. I had to go in and edit every event that was non-timed.

Yes it is present.

Code: Select all

 * @author Baba Buehler <baba@babaz.com>
 * @package Date
 * @access public
 * @version 1.0
 */
class go_date_TimeZone
{
    /**
     * Time Zone ID of this time zone
     * @var string
     */
    var $id;

I've noticed the TimeZone verses Timezone issue.

How can it be that it's undifined if its there. This is very strange. Can you try to move it and see if GO actually tries to load this file?

Same problem here

Same problem here with the go_date_timezone error in Date.php. I tried an upgrade and tried a fresh install with new config, neither worked. I don't know if it matters or not, but i do have the latest version of PEAR installed.

Yep. Same problem.

Just for fun, I even tried to use the file from the RC2 version, since I saw that they were a bit different, and thought I might get a different error message. Same problem, which makes me wonder if the calling module just can't find the TimeZone piece.

Try changing lines 35 to 27 of date/Date/Date.php into:

require_once $GO_CONFIG->class_path.'date/Date/TimeZone.php';
require_once $GO_CONFIG->class_path.'date/Date/Calc.php';
require_once $GO_CONFIG->class_path.'date/Date/Span.php';

I think PHP includes rather from the include_path of PEAR set in php.ini then the relative path from Group-Office on your systems.

Yep, this corrects the problem on my installation too:-)

But i have antoher Problem with a fresh installation of 2.14FC.

After first login as admin, changing my language to german and calling the module button i get the following error:

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required '' (include_path='.;x:\php\pear\') in X:\htdocs\go\modules\users\language\de.inc on line 2

Should i open a Bug issue in the bugtracker?

Regards Angelo

Edit: With English as default Language the problem does not occur.

Another problem with fresh installation of Group Office 2.14FC that Adressbook cannot be installed:

Database error: Invalid SQL: "DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `ab_addressbooks`
MySQL Error: 1064 (You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '"DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `ab_addressbooks`' at line 1)
Session halted.

This happens after call "Adressbook install". After that i see the Adressbook as installed, but a click on the Adressbook icon creates another errors, because no tables was created.

Then i tried to deinstall the adressbook and install again, but i get the same error.

Should i create a Bug entry in the Bugtracker?

Regards Angelo
