Using Calendar sync GROUPOFFICE AND ANDROID

Postby fabcri73 » Fri Sep 27, 2019 2:44 pm

Good morning,
I'm new to the forum, I have been using groupoffice for a long time, today I put version 6.4.60 with php 7.0.
I wanted to authorize a shared calendar between the android phone and groupoffice.
I use a CENTOS server 7.
Should I use CALDAV?
Could you help me?

You can use CalDAV but you need an app like Davdroid for it. ActiveSync works out of the box.

See:

good morning

I installed caldav with yum install radicale.noarch
The caldav server responds to the address 192.168.xx.xx
I don't understand how to configure groupoffice with caldav and use a shared calendar.

I think Apache should act, could you send me an example?

You don't need to install caldav. Group-Office comes with a caldav server built in. See:

https://groupoffice.readthedocs.io/en/latest/using/connect-a-device/connect-a-device.html

If you used the tarball to install make sure you've setup the aliases:

https://groupoffice.readthedocs.io/en/latest/install/tarball.html

Good morning,

I modified http.conf adding:

Alias "/ caldav" "/var/www/html/group-office.com/modules/caldav/calendar.php"
<Directory "/var/www/html/group-office.com/modules/caldav">
RewriteEngine On
</ Directory>

if I call 192.168.10.215/caldav
login with user and password is opened, entering the groupoffice credentials and accessing the web page.

If I try to configure exchange from android I can't log in to the server. The phone is in wifi, if I try to open the web page 192.168.10.215/group-office from the phone browser, it opens it.

I am stuck here, can you help me?

Hello,
in android you should install the DAVx5-App (alias DAVDroid). (PlayStore or FDroid)
- There you select the PLUS-Sign (New account) => "Log-in with URL and username"
- You fill in as address "http(s)://192.168.10.215/group-office/modules/caldav/calendar.php" and your credentials.
- Eventually you'll have to supplement this address with the name of your calendar: "/calendars/<username>/<calendar-name>"
- Give this connection an expressive name

And voilà: you can sync your calendar with your phone.
For Thunderbird (Win10) you'll need the add-ons "Provider fo CALDav and CARDDav" and "TbSync".
Unfortunately in Win10 the CardDAV connection doesn't work here, CALDaV however works!

Good morning,

I thank you, I installed the app reported and configured everything. Calendar synchronization works.

Thanks to the next one.
