groupoffice doesn't start after installation

Postby OnkelP » Mon Apr 20, 2015 10:37 am

Hi there,

my configuration:
groupoffice-com-6.1.29 not professional
PHP 5.5.23
MySQL mysqlnd 5.0.11-dev - 20120503

After installation and input of admin and password appears a white screen.

The error.log says:

[20150416 09:45:59] PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function addGroup() on a non-object in /usr/local/httpd/vhtdocs/..../groupoffice/go/base/model/Group.php on line 82
User: notloggedin Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/41.0.2272.118 Safari/537.36 IP: 2.165.197.82
Query:
Backtrace:
GO::shutdown in file unknown on line unknown

If I try then to start groupoffice the following message appears after "Basissystem wird geladen":

SQLSTATE[42000]: Syntax error or access violation: 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '))) WHERE 1 GROUP BY t.`id` ORDER BY `sort_order` ASC' at line 3

I can't solve this problem. Please help me.

Looks like the installation failed because there are no default groups installed. Did you get any errors during the install?
I think you should start from scratch.

Thank you for answering.
No, I didn't get any error during installation. The first time it seems to be unnormaly is after inserting administrator and password. Than it hangs. I can't remeber of installing default groups during installation process.

Sorry, I use the german version and I can't recognize what you mean. Can't translate "scratch" with any content-related sence. :|

You need translate "from scratch" because as you wrote in other case it does not make sense. In German it does mean: von Grund auf neu - Merijn had probably on mind clean installation.

I am witnessing exactly the same thing.
Tried a clean installation three times, still no luck.

An error message would have been nice, so I can try to figure out what is going wrong :(

Anyone who solved that issue by now?

I was able to get it work by manually importing every table that did not start with "go..."
(all those always fail to create) and import go_user and go_usergroup content as well as the content of the module table and the module type table, the go_acl and go_acl_items table contents

This all does not feel right and point pretty straight forward to an error while the database is being manipulated within the install process. Again an error message would be a huge help.

Is there any php error prior to this error? Somehow some db entries fail.

I believe this has been fixed in the latest versions. It happened only on some systems.

The same error appears til today.

When I use any function, the error: SQLSTATE[42000]: Syntax error or access violation: 1044 Access denied for user 'USERNAME'@'%' to database 'db_25684165' appears in a pop-up

Any solutions?

You have a problem with your database user. Please check the mysql settings.

I got the same problem using groupoffice-com-6.2.3. I manage to get it to install using as many default setting in the installation as I could. It worked on one of my PC but did not work on the other.

I don't remember exactly how I did it but I think I went to use the localhost/groupoffice-com-6.2.3/install twice and it did some "upgrading mysql" and then GroupOffice work the second time around.

The problem is getting it to work on the second PC. All the error I experience is not fixable second time around. Playing with
MySQL is not easy too, for example trying to fix the

"Error:
Could not set user with id 1 in Session::setCurrentUser()!" I have no idea where to start. I tried making a new user in
Server: localhost »Database: groupoffice »Table: go_users
Did not go too well (on second PC)

With regard to the help message: "Looks like the installation failed because there are no default groups installed." I tried learning how to install "default groups installed" but internet search result doesn't seem to show anything I can use.

Anyway, I hope that maybe one of us manage to fix it and come back here to tell everyone exactly how it use fix.

Thank you

Hi,

I manage to figure out how to solve this problem. The issue is, it is rather difficult to initiate if you never been successful before.

It seem to be mostly related to a "SQL" problem. What I did was "Export" the databse of my working condition (login page loaded), and "Import" it with the non working GroupOffice installation (login page is blank). I might write an detail instruction in the future if you cannot figure it out. Hopefully with v7(?) this issue is solved.
