Migrate Group Office Installation

Postby PeterStroi » Tue Jan 17, 2017 8:03 pm

Hello,

I've got a Group Office installation which was done years ago as a web based installation with seperate mail server etc.
Now I'd like to migrate everything to a new server with a Complete mailserver solution:
https://www.group-office.com/wiki/Installing_on_Debian_or_Ubuntu#Complete_mailserver_solution

Will it work as in this docu?
https://www.group-office.com/wiki/Moving_or_backup_an_installation

What about postfix adminstration?
Can it be also migrated? Or will I have to build it newly in the new installation?
In the old setup didn't use the postfix module, I did it also seperate in postfix.

many thanks
Peter

Yes it should work as described on the wiki.

We can also make an offer to do it for you or help in another way.

Hi,

thanks, I managed to migrate the server.
With postfixadmin I had some troubles, but with updating the according queries it somehow worked finally.

But I have still an issue getting sieve correctly running.
I have still the message "Not all features sre supported. Check the manual."
Do you have a docu for Dovecot 2.2, looks like it is a little bit different.

many thanks
kind regards
Peter
