Could not load the application javascripts

Postby Kai » Fri Jan 21, 2011 8:39 am

At first: GO is a great product! If developing goes on that fast, it will become one of the most important collaboration tools in the open source world.

Like some other users before, i got this error after successfull installation of GO at startup:
Could not load the application javascripts. Check the "host" property in config.php and see if the "file_storage_path" folder and it's contents are writable

The installation system test says that GO should run on the machine:
Magic quotes setting : Warning: magic_quotes_gpc is enabled. You will get better performance if you disable this setting.
Open base_dir : Warning: open_basedir is enabled. This may cause trouble with the filesystem module and Synchronization.
Error logging : Warning: PHP error logging is disabled in php.ini. It's recommended that this feature is enabled in a production environment.
libwbxml : Warning: libwbxml2 is not installed. Synchronization will not work!
TAR Compression : Warning: tar is not installed or not executable.
ZIP Compression : Warning: zip is not installed or not executable. Unpacking zip archives and using document templates for Microsoft Word and Open-Office.org won't be possible.
TNEF : Warning: tnef is not installed or not executable. you can't view winmail.dat attachments in the email module.

Passed! Group-Office should run on this machine

data and temp directories have 777 permissions!

Yes, my file_storage_path is writable and even the cache directory inside of my storage directory has the following entries:

Code: Select all

listeners.txt
languages.js
countries.js
base-697971de57294e28a473ccd9f14664f2.js

And the host property is correct? /goffice is the correct relative URL?

Do you get any errors in the apache log?

This line should not be there:

echo " ++++ " . $cache_file;

This messes it up. You must have added it.

Hello!

The same problem was ocurring with me, but I realized that in the internet connection of my house the problem occurs but on my office don't.

I think that this problem is of the server or internet connection, dns or other thing but don't of Group-Office.

Thanks.
