LDAP Problem's

Postby gerick » Tue Mar 06, 2012 2:05 pm

Hi guys,
I'm new to the group-office, but that everything in the LDAP configuration.
I followed the wiki for the correct settings in my / var / www / groupoffice / config.php I have:

Code: Select all

$config['ldap_network_timeout']="30";
$config['ldap_host']="localhost";
$config['ldap_port']="389";
$config['ldap_user']="";
$config['ldap_pass']="";
$config['ldap_basedn']="dc=MEGATRON";
$config['ldap_peopledn']="ou=Users,dc=MEGATRON";
$config['ldap_groupsdn']="ou=Groups,dc=MEGATRON";
$config['ldap_tls']=false;
$config['ldap_auth_dont_update_profiles']=true; //set to true if you don't want ldap to overwrite the Group-Office user profile on each login
$config['ldap_use_uid_with_email_domain']='';//leave empty to use the default mapping. Set to a domain name to use username@example.com as e-mail address.

I'm not sure if it works ....
login because I have the next error: You did not fill in all the required fields.

any idea what's going on?
Best Regards!

Set $config['debug']=true; to see what's going on when logging in.

I think what happens is that the LDAP server does not supply all the mandatory fields for a Group-Office user. Make sure first_name, last_name and e-mail are all mapped to a non empty field in the LDAP server.

What happens in the debug log when you connect with a normal user?

I have got similar problem:
Failed to bind to LDAP server with RDN: USER

It was selinux blocking outgoing connection. Problem was solved by turining on httpd modules conenction:

setsebool -P httpd_can_network_connect on

This configuration does work for me:

Code: Select all

$config['ldap_host']='127.0.0.1';
$config['ldap_port']='389';
$config['ldap_user']='cn=Manager,dc=example,dc=com';
$config['ldap_pass']='<manager_passwd_as_is_set_in_olcDatabase={2}hdb.ldif>';
$config['ldap_basedn']='dc=example,dc=com';
$config['ldap_peopledn']='ou=People,dc=example,dc=com';
$config['ldap_groupsdn']='ou=Groups,dc=example,dc=com';
