Move or upgrade GO 4.x.x - how I do this

Postby john3v » Wed Dec 12, 2012 8:38 am

Hello to everyone!

I was trying move my GO installation on different hardware, same OS - ubuntu 12.04 lts x86.

I check a wiki for that but I received few errors, like cannot create db, cannot use that user, etc.

And I found solution

Just I have to enable root at target system ...

Here is the full solution:
/exept transferring user files and installation of GO/

At source system, for dump all dbs:

Code: Select all

sudo mysqldump --all-databases  -u root -p > ~/fulldump.sql

At target system for restore:
1. enable the root user:

Code: Select all

sudo passwd root

2. Login as a root and do:

Code: Select all

rm -rf /var/lib/mysql/*
mysql_install_db
chown -R mysql: /var/lib/mysql
service mysql start

pv ~/fulldump.sql | mysql
   (~/ = path to sql)

if there is not available "pv"

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install pv

Code: Select all

/etc/init.d/apache2 restart

reboot

4. Disable root

Code: Select all

sudo passwd -l root

5. login as a regular user and

Code: Select all

sudo chmod 777 /home/groupoffice/key.txt

/etc/init.d/apache2 restart

Option (not 100% nessesary):
1. at browser write address for Go installation followed by /install

Code: Select all

http://groupoffice.bg/install

2. Install spellcheck

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install libpspell-dev
sudo apt-get install php5-pspell
sudo apt-get install aspell-en
sudo apt-get install aspell-bg
sudo service apache2 restart

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install libwbxml2-utils

for install APC:

Code: Select all

sudo aptitude install php-pear
sudo aptitude install php5-dev
sudo aptitude install apache2-dev
sudo pecl install apc

Code: Select all

sudo vi /etc/php5/apache2/apc.ini

add "extension=apc.so" to extension list (after row 936)

Code: Select all

/etc/init.d/apache2 restart

Return to “Installation”
