SOLVED: Calendar: repeated events don't show

Postby rob » Wed Aug 28, 2019 6:40 am

Hi, with version 6.4.46 events entered in calendar are vanishing if you take the option to repeat them.
A single event shows as expected, but when I go to "Options" and want to repeat it every week, there is nothing shown furthermore. Same if you try another periodicity.

Could you include a screenshot of your settings?

Ok - I insert a new event:
Zwischenablage-1.jpg
Zwischenablage-1.jpg (50.68 KiB) Viewed 683 times
Without repetition it shows fine.
Zwischenablage-3.jpg
Zwischenablage-3.jpg (46.04 KiB) Viewed 683 times
and here it vanishes:
Zwischenablage-4.jpg
Zwischenablage-4.jpg (45.06 KiB) Viewed 683 times

Strange, I can't replicate that. Do you see any errors in the log or in the browser console?

Hi, I got this in debug.log (JS-console doesn't have any errors)
Have inserted a new event - this comes at the moment I revert it into a repeated event:

Can you check your timezone settings in the user profile?

These are my "Look and Feel" settings:
Zwischenablage-1.jpg
Zwischenablage-1.jpg (18.92 KiB) Viewed 654 times
But even if I choose "day/month/year" instead of "day.month.year" there's no change in behaviour.

Hello, with the new version 6.4.50 (in 6.4.51 too!) I get now these errors if I make an event repeating:
DateTime::__construct(): Failed to parse time string (@1.5680338E+9) at position 9 (8): Unexpected character
And the php_error logfile complains:
[09-Sep-2019 14:49:44 Europe/Berlin] Exception in /home/web/go/modules/calendar/model/Event.php at line 713: DateTime::__construct(): Failed to parse time string (@1.5680337E+9) at position 9 (7): Unexpected character
Maybe this helps

I haven't seen this at any other installation. I'm afraid we can only fix this if we closely inspect your server. We only do this for customers who have the pro version.

Hello, there is nothing unusual with this server.
It's a standard Debian-10 'Buster', timezone Europe/Berlin and locale de-DE.UTF-8
With Apache 2.4.38 standard configured as out-of-the-box.
(With Nginx 1.14.2 instead of Apache2 I get this same strange behaviour)!

I don't understand, where this timestring ("time string (@1.5680338E+9)") is coming from.
Maybe you can give me a hint.

That is supposed to be a unix time stamp. But somehow it's messed up! Haven't seen this before.

Hello,
OK : SOLVED - if anyone has the same problem.
This topic came from a limited precision configuration in php.
In my case the php.ini file in php7.3-fpm module.
;The number of significant digits displayed in floating point numbers.
precision = 8
Changed the precision from 8 to 16 digits and: Voilà!

Great! I can replicate the issue with that precision value. I will warn about it in the system test in the next release.
