password adjustments

Postby detox » Fri Jul 10, 2015 7:08 pm

Hello All!

I would like to change the parameters for user passwords but I cannot find where.

The manual says to look in /etc/groupoffice/config.php

All I see there is $config["default_password_length"]='6';

However, when I try to create a password of 123456, it errors and stated I need upper,lower, number and symbol

Is that an internal default, and if I add different parameters in the config.php file it will take precedence?

(no, I do not want 123456 as an actual password, it was just a test)

Thanks

Take a look at https://www.group-office.com/wiki/Configuration_file in the "Password settings" section. If you don't wanna use those defaults, then you have to set them in your custom config.php.

fischli,

Thanks so much! I thought that was the case, but since there was no mention in the docs, and only a reference to the settings, I figured I'd ask before I goobered it up
