Single Quote / apostrophe In Email Address

Postby mrforsythexeter » Wed May 19, 2010 11:43 am

Group Office Version: 3.2.48

I have searched the forum, wiki and using google,

I have an email address with an apostrophe in it, this after reading the rfc it appears to be vaild, however group office removes it when trying to send. Is there a patch for this, has it been fixed in newer versions?

Can any one think of a quick place to patch it, to save me reading tons of code.

Also there should be an update to my spell checker soon, to fix some of the problems (word bunching)

Don't use an apostrophe in the email address. You can wave the rfc around all day, that email address is not going to work.

If only it was that simple. The persons email it is, is very insistent that its 'Working every where else'. Its not an email address I setup, but one that our client wants to send to. I simply wouldn't setup an email with one in.

Any other helpers that can point me at least in the right direction of the script to look at.
