Problem sending mail on Solaris

Postby webhead74 » Fri Jan 07, 2005 11:12 am

Hi,

I'm running GO (latest version) on Solaris 9, Apache 2.0.51 & PHP 5.0.2.

I assume that when I add an event to a calendar & select an invitee, it should mail a notice to the selected invitees - that's my assumption from looking at the code. This isn't working for me. Events are added to the calendar okay, but the invitees never get an email notification.

The PHP mail function works okay on my box. For example:
<?php
mail("foo@bar.com", "My Subject", "Line 1\nLine 2\nLine 3");
?>
will send an email.

The local mailer works okay - I can send mail from the command line on the box, plus SMTP works fine from the box - I can send mail via SMTP.

I'm not sure where to begin troubleshooting this problem. I've found the phpmailer class, which I assume is being used to send mail. I've tried setting different options there - mail, sendmail & SMTP - none of which work. I never get any bounces or indications in syslog that mail is being sent. It's like the script just isn't trying to send mail.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks!
