Hi!

We're still there (and working again) ;-)

I just found the "Really Simple CalDAV Store", which is an application for storing and/or sharing calendars in iCalendar format. It is written in PHP for apache, so maybe it can be included/merged to GO - better than exporting/importing calendars ;-)

I've put it on the TODO list to make GO a CalDAV client and server.

Hey,

I wanted to ask (after the release of the iphone os 3 with caldav support) whether there is/will be cal-dav support with GO? The GO-environment is great and I'm using it extensively, especially for work. One vision I personally have is that by CalDav you can merge your important business-meetings with private events (especially if you are a freelancer or student...). The private events are entered in the calendar manually and the business-events come from the cal-dav server of GO... Will this be possible once? and if so, when?

Yes I'm very interested in creating this functionality and I've found some great examples but I can't tell when I have the time to implement it.

can I help?

I could try to setup such a thing with the information you gathered. You can send it to me via email if you like.

I found this (http://rscds.sourceforge.net/) and made a small attempt to integrate it with Group-Office but it's not very usable. In fact I couldn't find it anymore :S

well, basically there are 2 opportunities,

1) you write your own caldav server or try to integrate one (like the one you found) into GO
2) or you let GO be a client to a caldav server, like calendarserver (ical)

I don't have any experience concerning caldav, so I can't tell how much time it would take to write a nice GO-Caldav-Server Module :)

this is one of my most anticipated features in GO, too.
so i support this feature request to the fullest and would very much appreciate if the development would continue on this.

TIA.

I recently made all paths human readable. So Webdav implementation will be much simpler. You can already create it manually by enabling webdav in apache on the GO folders.

GO does not have WebDAV capabilities at this time. I was just suggesting that you could setup a WebDAV share manually to the GO files.

See this page for more info:

yes, i'm aware of this function of the apache webserver. but how do i get GO to export/import the calendar to/from an .ics file on a specific server directory when something changes? maybe i'm on the wrong track here but is there more than a manual export/import function to a client-side folder in GO right now?

Sorry, please ignore my previous posts. I was thinking this thread was about WebDAV instead of CalDAV....

CalDAV is not supported now and it will take a lot of time to built this in.
