Solved: Module stops working on preview Server

Postby chriscross » Fri Mar 26, 2010 10:07 pm

Hi,

I have just completed a new module which worked fine in my local development version of GO. I have just put it on my preview server, and everything installs fine, the db tables are there and adressbooks are generated... But the module doesn't show up in the drop down menu anymore!? What happened? Any hints what could be the cause for this?

Edit: I left the text if anybody searches for this... I remembered that you have to setup the config to debug=true...

Thank's!

In production you shouldn't have debug enabled. It slow's everything down. You should minify the code like written in the docs.

Do I only have to minimize my Script or do i have to rebuild the whole GO site?? that would be a problem, I don't now if they have root/shell access...

Thank's!

Hello,

You can also minify on your dev server (or even on a Windows box) and upload the GroupOffice directory with minified files (avoid config.php though) on the production server. No need to have a shell access then.
