New theme and login screen

Postby molski » Sat Oct 27, 2007 1:39 pm

A while ago I created my own theme because the original ones where kind of boring after all these years :)

So right now I had finally some time to tweak it a little and also created a login screen in the same style, so if you want check them out.

And Merijn, maybe you can add this theme in a new release? ;)

Theme Changes:
- Sourcefile for the theme logo (.psd file and font file) in the sourcefiles folder (in the theme folder).
- In Firefox, opacity filter when you go over the module buttons
- Admin Menu button moved to right upper corner (if your an admin offcourse)
- CSS file changed (toolbar and header color is grey)
- Some icons changed
- Day, Date & Time added to left upper corner (am/pm)
- Uses a checker.php file from the theme folder itself.
- If new emails, you see "You got X new email(s)" instead of only the number of emails.
- Own favicon.ico

Login Screen Changes:
- Sourcefile for the logo (.psd file and font file) in the sourcefiles folder.
- Same logo used as in the theme (same filename also).
- Same style as the theme.

Just extract the contents to root of your groupoffice folder.

Do you have a screen shot of this new theme?
When I visit your domain all I get is the middle finger...

Sorry for the large image ;)
By the way, on the theme that you can download you'll see only "inferi" in the logo and not "inferi.nl".

I like the darker look, I'll add it into my system and take a deeper look

Thanks! Any feedback will be highly appreciated.
Although the login screen is now in my style (and without any GO logo's, text etc.) I can easily adjust it to the original login screen in these colors.

It would be cool to finally do something back to/for Group-Office after all the years of happy use ;)

I installed it and not a valid complaint to give :-)

I love the top frame how it has the user, date and time on the left and then on the right how it has the administrator menu there as oppose to below.

I especially appreciate the fact that you included the PSD files in this theme

Great changes, my only change to this would be to use some DHTML/JavaScript to make the clock live instead of static.

Make that change and you defiantly have my vote.

Great Tip!
I will look into it right now!

Thanks for the very positive feedback, always nice to hear such things!

I will be back...with an update ;)

This is a little nice Javascript code for a digital text clock (http://www.livedemo.com/clock_sample.htm).

Code: Select all

<script language="javascript">function js_clock(){var clock_time = new Date();var clock_hours = clock_time.getHours();var clock_minutes = clock_time.getMinutes();var clock_seconds = clock_time.getSeconds();var clock_suffix = "AM";if (clock_hours > 11){clock_suffix = "PM";clock_hours = clock_hours - 12;}if (clock_hours == 0){clock_hours = 12;}if (clock_hours < 10){clock_hours = "0" + clock_hours;}if (clock_minutes < 10){clock_minutes = "0" + clock_minutes;}if (clock_seconds < 10){clock_seconds = "0" + clock_seconds;}var clock_div = document.getElementById('js_clock');clock_div.innerHTML = clock_hours + ":" + clock_minutes + ":" + clock_seconds + " " + clock_suffix;setTimeout("js_clock()", 1000);}js_clock();</script>

And can any of you integrate the above code into the header.php file?
Or into this piece of code from the header.php file?

Code: Select all

$row = new table_row();
$cell = new table_cell($strLoggedInAs.' '.htmlspecialchars($_SESSION['GO_SESSION']['name']).'&nbsp;&nbsp;-&nbsp;&nbsp;'.$full_days[date('w')].date(', d ').$months[date('m')-1].date(' Y, '));
$cell->set_attribute('style', 'width:15%');

Sorry, was a little too happy, but got it almost fixed.
Will try to correct it and upload the new package tonight.

Okay, please redownload the theme package, all should be fixed now!

Added:
- new favicon.ico used in the theme itself (same icon as summary module)
- Clock is fixed, dynamic, shows in am/pm

Bug fixed:
- Noticed the header 1px black border was gone, now it's back.

The solution was quite simple, I didn't succeed in intergrating the Javascript into the header.php file, so I did it the other way around, (simply) integrating the Javascript into the checker.php file ;)

So still...if someone finds a solution to integrate the Javascript into the header.php file, be my guest! ;)

No problem, my pleasure!

If you want....I can also adjust any original themes to the theme I use ;)

Molski
