I really want to buy group-office but the high price is the problem. Every update I have to pay 199 euro. I think it's better to lower the update price or lower the normal price to something about 99 euro's like others say

I agree for the modules that you can't update with free/community versions a lower upgrade price would be a good idea

That's a fact since a few days. Upgrades cost 129 now.

I would prefere a cheaper licence (e.g. Group Office Pivate instead of Professional) for only 1 Person to use the perfect Group Office as Outlook Webinterface (with Outlook - Groupoffice Sync).

199,- is to much for one student

I think if you would sell your solution also as "perfect-one-person-outlook-webinterface-with-nice-addons" without the group functions but with sync modul you will be really succesful.

I believe products would be very handy optional extras to have but the pricing and packaging is a big turn off for me.

I'd like it if it was just unlimited users because then I just don't have think about it. Make it easy for us then we'll spend.

I think it will be very useful for all of us.
I hope this information help us to improve.

Pay or not to pay, that's the question...

I am amazed by this post. You purchased the product without a support contact. Nevertheless I always try to help you with your problems. You don't get the same support. You email me with questions and I help you out immediately. I don't understand your disappointment...

I guest that I did not express my self properly!

Postby R2Max » Fri May 02, 2008 5:08 pm

Hi,

I may of tried to explain what I wanted the wrong way. What I wanted to explain was that most of the times when you buy scripts, you get direct support from the seller, instead of going throught a community forum.

And also that it seamed that GOCommunity was supporting the product, which seemed odd/different to me. But, maybe this is the way to go since giving support internationaly may be hard, i.e: Holidays in one place and not in the other...

So since my intention was not to upset anybody and just wanted to think outloud... I decided to retract my above statment. Since when I got questions previously they were somewhat answered rapidely, and that I may of fell into some holidays I did not know about!

Than, I should say that a scroller in the forum header stating that Intermesh is in holiday would of made me wait... till they're back!

In the mean time, please try to see where I am coming from:

I am trying to integrate/install GOPro in corporations where security holes and downtime is not an option. So forum blab is not always the way to go, unless i am sure that I deal with Intermesh, which sometimes is not clear in the forum. Because forum to me are a place to share ideas, but they also represent people trying things that could be harmful and detrimental to the program, which I cannot afford.

Maybe I expected to much from GO! I do not know, but to me GO seemed the program I wanted to push to my customers.

Well Merijn, I am sorry if I may of insulted you!

The forum is here for everybody. That doesn't mean you can't contact me directly. We are always available for our customers by email or phone when we are open of course.

It's cheapest groupware suit on market. 400€, unlimited users and time. Can't get that anywhere.
I'm speaking from company side. If you are private user, and need just 1 account, then it's probably expensive, but you can buy 1 account at GO also.
