Data transfer

Postby Eric » Fri Apr 08, 2005 11:23 pm

2.12c

Now I have down a new installation at another place than the old one (no update, because I have to change the server location). How can I get all the data (mysql, files) into the new installation?

I tried already, to restore my mysql-data from the 2.10 into the 2.12, but then I get errors, because the data structure is altered.

What I have to do? I can make some thing by hand, but all the calender entries and addresses I need to transfer.

And is there a easy method to integrate a files structure with many files into the new installation without doing all in single steps?

Best regards
Eric

You just need to copy your old database to your new database. By dumping it into an SQL file and then load that SQL into the new database. After that you perform an upgrade with the Group-Office installer.
