Comments on the new 6.4 address book

Talk about anything that doesn't fit in the other catagories :) (and of course is about Group-Office)

Comments on the new 6.4 address book

Postby broberg » Mon Jun 24, 2019 7:10 am

I have a few issues with the new address book that would be nice if they could be addressed in a future update.

1. It's not possible to select and display "Country" for Organization and Contact.
2. "Organizations" can not be used for sorting the list
3. It's only possible to select one or all Address Books
4. I have not been able to save any Filter (the user has manage rights)
5. The {user:first_name} {user:last_name} in an email template only display the last name

6. Where did the email list feature go?

Hi,

Thanks for your feedback. I'll discuss it with the team and improve it.

About 6: You can either use groups or the newsletters module from the pro version.

Thanks!
Merijn

PS: You can also list by country by searching for:

country: Netherlands

Or organisation (from 6.4.26):

org: Intermesh

Great, both the search and also the filters works fine after the update to 6.4.27. Just a small quirk. Searching with for example "country:Sverige" works fine in Search and Filters, but "country:Sweden" doesn't despite using English as the languish in Groupoffice.

The country data for the old contacts in the data base is lost. I think it happened after updating from 6.3 to 6.4, but I'm not hundred percent sure. The country informations for organizations are fine.

it depends on how the country is stored in the database. It stores the text and the ISO code. But when searching it uses the plain text which should be in your chosen language.
